The Situation
The Supervisors wanted to enhance their voter outreach activities,
improve the public perception of their efforts, promote increased
voter registration and inform citizens about the new voting
technology.
The
Challenge
Dramatically leverage the separate activities of 67 Supervisors
and create a coherent approach that would maximize limited
resources.
The Response
Produced a Campaign Kit for each of the Supervisors with monthly
themes and simultaneous coordinated activities. The Kit contained
templates for all to use from ad slicks to press releases.
Activities were coordinated and began with simultaneous press
conferences in Tallahassee and the major media markets in
the state.
Created new alliances with organizations throughout the state
that had both a statewide presence as well as outlets in most,
if not all, the counties.
The Result
Significant increase in coverage and outreach. Increases in
voter registration. Improved visibility to voter outreach
activities and improved relationships with statewide associations
and businesses.
